Course Overview
The 5-day ICND1 (Interconnecting Cisco Networking Devices, Part 1) training and certification boot camp in Washington, DC Metro, Tysons Corner, VA, Columbia, MD or Live Online is designed to provide the knowledge and skills needed to understand TCP/IP networks that are built with Cisco hardware. Students will also learn how to implement small switched and routed networks that consist of 1 to 20 hosts connected to a single switch. In addition, students will be led through all the exam objectives so that they are properly prepared to handle the CCENT certification exam at the end of the 5-day course.
By the end of the ICND1 training course, students will have an understanding of the following objectives:
- Simple networks
- Ethernet LANs
- Wireless LANs
- Connecting to LANs
- Wide Area Networks (WANs)
- Network environment management
This course is also the first step toward achieving the Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification.

Upon registration completion candidates are sent an automated course registration email that includes attachments with specific information on the class and location as well as pre-course study and test preparation material approved by the course vendor. The text of the email contains a registration confirmation as well as the location, date, time and contact person of the class.
Online enrolment closes three days before course start date.
On the first day of class, candidates are provided with instructions to register with the exam provider before the exam date.

ICND1 Certification Training FAQs
Before attending the training ICND1 course, students should have an understanding of basic networking concepts.
The ideal attendee for the ICND1 course and CCENT certification exam are the following individuals:

There are two parts to the ICND training. After completing both Part 1 and Part 2 (or the CCNAX training) and earning the CCENT certification, candidates are eligible to earn the Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification after successfully completing the CCNA exam.
