Are you an experienced SharePoint Administrator looking for a new job?
The team at Phoenix TS gathered some great information on the top paying jobs for DMV area SP Administrators in 2015, as well as a quick description of each company’s objectives, location, and a link to their website. If you think you might be interested in working for one of these companies, then apply!
*The following Salary Data is pay per year, this information has been gathered by GlassDoor, excluding Apex Systems and Talent Remedy which were listed on the job posting.
1. Apex Systems Inc. – $100,000 to $110,000
Apex Systems is one of the largest IT staffing companies in the United States. They offer a generous benefits plan, including things like tuition reimbursement and a day off on your birthday; in addition to more standard benefits offered by most companies. Apex supports local charities, promotes diversity in the workplace, and won an award for the Staffing Industry Analysts 2014 “Best Staffing Firms to Work For”.
Apex Systems currently has a job opening for an SP Administrator in Columbia, Maryland. Keep in mind that you will be contracted through Apex, and be sure to inquire about the company you will be sent to for this listing!
2. Booz Allen Hamilton – $80,777
Booze Allen Hamilton provides management and technology consulting services for the U.S. Government. They have locations worldwide, and all across the United States (so if you plan to move to another state one day they might be a good option). Booz Allen was one of the first organizations within the U.S.A to create a statement of their business ethics, and has a solid list of core values including the following:
- Teamwork
- Fairness
- Respect
- Diversity
- Trust
Their list of core values goes on, but as you can see these values listed are critical to a workplace environment employees enjoy being in. Booze Allen is currently looking a SharePoint Administrator in Washington D.C. so be sure to apply soon if you are interested!
3. Nigel Frank International – $100k- $130k
Nigel Frank International is a leading Microsoft recruitment company, and as their name suggests, they have offices worldwide. They currently have a job listing in Fairfax, Virginia for an SP Admin that pays quite well. I’d like to mention that this particular position is not within Nigel Frank, but rather with one of their clients. Although the listing does not state the employer, the pay is well above the national average so it’s definitely worth a look.
You may be able to discuss the details of where you will be working during an interview, and then investigate on your own from there to see if it’s somehwere you want to work. There is also a bit of security in being partnered with a company like Nigel Frank since they are recruiters. So if you find yourself needing a new job later on they can help.
4. Talent Remedy – $120,000
Talent Remedy specializes in staff placement for a variety of fields, including Information Technology. Their website states that their company was built on their personal values of integrity, respect, honesty, and care. These are some of values you want to look for in a potential employer, as it is generally a good indicator that they treat their employees well.
Talent Remedy is definitely worth a look since they currently have a job opening in Alexandra, VA for an SP Admin and the pay rate listed is well above the national average.
5. Piper Enterprise – $85,000 to $95,000
Piper Enterprise has a listing in Washington, DC for an SP Admin who will be contracted to work with the Federal Government. As a former government employee, and friend of several Federal employees, I can tell you that working for the Government is a great opportunity, so be sure to jump on this one soon!
Piper has spectacular reviews on GlassDoor.com from their employees, and seems like a company that truly cares about the happiness of their workers. Even though you would be contracted out, you are still dealing with Piper to some degree so it’s nice to know that their employees think highly of them.
