Course Overview
This 2-day instructor led Data Visual Design and Story Telling will teach students how to effectively communicate with data. Students will learn how to transform their data into visual while communicating their insights and engaging their audience with persuasive narrative. At the completion of this course, participants will be able to:
- Convert your insights and visual data into compelling, persuasive narratives.
- Recognize the core components of an engaging data story and what drives audience engagement.
- Explore the contrast between how the brain interprets raw data versus storytelling.
- Organize your analysis into a cohesive data-driven narrative using a structured four-step storyboard approach.
- Apply key techniques for enhancing visual storytelling to improve clarity and impact.
- Learn from past and present examples to sidestep frequent pitfalls in data storytelling.
